About Us

Hi!

We’re Claire, Tara, and Kathryn—former law firm partners turned fast friends, and now passionate Mahjong enthusiasts. What started as a fun hobby quickly turned into a shared love for the game, its strategy, its history, and the joy it brings to our lives and the lives of those around us.

Saint City Mahjong Club is a community for anyone who loves the game of American Mahjong—or is curious to learn! We’re passionate about teaching Mahjong and helping new players discover how fun, social, and rewarding this game can be. We love the community that the game fosters and hope you'll grab a seat at our table. Whether you’ve been playing for years or are just discovering the magic of the tiles, you’re welcome here.

Mahjong 101

Where Beginners Get Their Feet Wet

If you've never played American Mahjong before or it's been quite a while, this is for you. We'll provide an overview of the game and its rules, get you acquainted with the tiles, and get you playing.

Tickets to these 3-hour events are typically $75 and include a drink ticket from the host establishment, as well as your choice between an official NMJL card or Saint City Mahjong Club merch.

Mahjong 102

Next up!

This class is for people who have taken our Mahjong 101 class or otherwise have a fundamental understanding of American Mahjong. We'll talk strategy and play more games. Our instructors will be there to guide participants and answer any questions during play. Everything needed to play is provided.

Tickets to these events typically cost $45 and include everything you'll need to play the game at the event. Drinks, snacks, merch, and NMJL cards will be available for purchase.

In-Home & Corporate Events

You've got the crew? We'll come to you!

Whether you're a family, a group of besties, corporate colleagues, or a book club... if you've already got the crew, let us come to you! We'll supply everything your group needs to learn the game.

Minimum group size: 4. You tell us where and when. Send us an e-mail!

Open Play
